Day 1: Arrive Istanbul
On arrival, drive to our hotel in the Sultanhamet area of Istanbul. In winter the evening sunsets early which creates an ideal setting to enjoy the Bosphorus Cruise by night. Enjoy the views of Istanbul by night as we pass through the Bosporous creek with Asia and Europe on either side of it. Amaze at the beautifully lit bridge that connects the two continents. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 2: Day in Istanbul
After a leisurely breakfast, we will visit the Dolmabache Palace, which served as the main administrative center of the Ottoman Empire in its glorious days and where Ataturk, the father of Turks lived till his last breath. Later we will head to the charming Taksim square where you could choose to take the heritage tram ride and enjoy lunch at leisure. On our way back to the hotel we would make a stop at the Galatha Tower (optional) for those who want to enjoy a sweeping view of old Istanbul. Enjoy a late evening walk in the Sultanhamet area where you can even choose to go to a Hamam (traditional Turkish bath) to warm up in the cold. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 3: Istanbul – Cappadocia | Flight
After breakfast onboard the domestic flight to Kayseri in the Anatolia region of Turkey. The region is drastically different and more cultural than metropolitan Istanbul. We would drive to our hotel in Goreme, where just before nightfall you would be able to enjoy a walk in the town. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 4: Cappadocia | Full day sightseeing
Post breakfast, explore the beautiful colors of the valley from the sky can opt for the hot air balloon ride (optional) early in the morning. Later after breakfast, we will visit the prime attractions of this region which would include Kaymakli (underground city), Pasabag or the Monk Valley and Goreme open-air museum to see the most ancient rock churches painted with frescos. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 5: Cappadocia at Leisure
After a delicious breakfast. The day will be free to enjoy the optional activities in Cappadocia. There is a lot of choices such as ATV, Jeep safari and Horse Riding. Those who want to enjoy just a day walking and wandering around could do so too. In the evening we would enjoy Turkish coffee in a traditional café where an impromptu saaz(traditional Turkish instrument) player could just entertain you. On this day you would also have the option of enjoying a Turkish show where the whirling dirwishes and belly dancers would perform in front of you. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 6: Cappadocia – Istanbul | Flight
After a leisurely breakfast, aboard the flight to Istanbul. On arrival check – into the hotel. The evening will be at leisure shop at the traditional Spice Bazaar, visit the world’s biggest under covered market Grand Bazaar.
Day 7: Departure transfer
In the morning check out and you will depart to board our flight back to the home country.
