About the Tour

This tour packages will take the visitors to the gleaming places of Nepal. The main highlights of this tour will be centered at the cultural aspects of the Kathmandu and the natural places of the Pokhara and mainly at the Lumbini regions where we will visit at the birthplace of Lord Siddhartha Gautam (BUDDHA). The tour at the Kathmandu valley will be generally cultural as we can visit at the different ancient palaces of Nepal along with the heritages which were enlisted in the world heritages site of UNESCO because of their uniqueness in culture and presence like Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Swayambhunath (The Monkey Temple), Boudhanath and other several archaeological places. Similarly, the tour at Pokhara will be centered at the beautiful places of the Pokhara which includes the tour at places like Phewa Lake, Mahendra cave, viewpoints of the high hills, beautiful and dense forest of the regions and other several natural aspects of the region.

Similarly, the tour at the Lumbini will be mainly at the beautiful and the auspicious place where Lord Buddha was born. The tour at the Lumbini will take the visitors to the birthplace of the Lord Buddha which will be mesmerizing to see and visit.

Day 1:   Arrival at Kathmandu
Arrival at Kathmandu airport, our company representative will take you to your hotel. If you are interested to go out. You can go for leisure walks in Kathmandu city. Especially, the Thamel region is the best choice for this day to roam, it is a good place for shopping. By night, a cultural program will be organized for the guests.

Day 2:   Kathmandu Sightseeing
Kathmandu is the capital city of Nepal and by the way historical significant place. The complete day will be enough for sightseeing. You will go through many historical sights and also many of them are UNESCO heritage sites. The first place you visit is the Pashupatinath temple which was built in the 5th century. It is a prominent temple in Nepal.

After this, the remaining things you visit in Kathmandu are Patan, Durbar Square, and Swayambhunath stupa. Durbar Square is another important place of interest. Actually, it is a Tibetan refugee center. The temples in this center stand as major attractions. After all your tours in Kathmandu get back to the hotel and enjoy the overnight stay.

Day 3:   Kathmandu - Pokhara
After sightseeing tours in Kathmandu, your day 3 will be left for driving to Pokhara. It’s a must-visit place in Nepal. Distance between Kathmandu and Pokhara is 205 kms and time takes to cover the distance is nearly 6 hours. It’s a long journey but you can enjoy the drive with captivating views.
On the way to Pokhara you have to stop at one point, it is Manakamana temple. This one is a very important pilgrimage center for Hindus. Alongside the Trishuli river, the Manakamana temple is a worth place to seek blessings of the goddess. Later, continue your journey to Pokhara valley

Day 4:   Pokhara Sightseeing
A day in Pokhara will be left as the most memorable moment on the trip. This beautiful valley with fantastic landscapes and views creates a romantic environment. Many tourist attractions of this place are worth enough to visit. As soon as possible leave your hotel to explore Pokhara valley

Your day in Pokhara will be followed by sightseeing of temples, old bazaars, waterfalls, and caves. Bindabasini temple is the first temple you visit and then you visit local bazaars of Pokhara. Then, you will be taken to Patale Chongo waterfall which is very famous in Pokhara. Opposite to this falls Gupteshwar caves are located and you will be taken to Gupteshwar caves also. Finally, enjoy the overnight stay in your hotel.

Day 5:   Pokhara - Lumbini
After your day in Pokhara, you will drive to Lumbini by early morning. Then, you will reach another famous pilgrimage center in Nepal. It is a very sacred place for Buddhism followers because it’s the birthplace of Lord Buddha. The mix of history and spirituality of this place draws everyone's attention.
Here you will visit Mayadevi Temple, Pushkar Pond, and Lumbini Garden. Many historical remnants erected by Emperor Ashoka stand as major attractions. Especially, inscriptions in the garden of Lumbini are the must-see things and Ashokan Pillar with inscriptions of Pali and Brahmi is the famous pillar in Lumbini. You can feel the positive vibes of Buddhism at this place.

Day 6:   Lumbini - Nagarkot
To reach Nagarkot, we have to get back to Kathmandu. After a sleepy night in Lumbini move to Kathmandu. Distance between Lumbini and Nagarkot is 266kms and 7 hours' time is need to cover the distance. So you can enjoy the travel with fabulous views. Later, reaching Kathmandu you will drive to Nagarkot. Then, you can enjoy the overnight stay in Nagarkot.

Day 7:   Nagarkot - Kathmandu
You can experience the fantastic morning views in Nagarkot with awestruck backdrops of snow-capped mountains. In Nepal, Nagarkot is very famous for sunset and sunrise views because it is the land of many gigantic mountains. For backpackers, Nagarkot is the best place.

Your day 7 in Nagarkot makes you feel that you are playing in the lap of nature. And adventure seekers also can go trekking or hiking. The places you can visit in Nagarkot are Brijeshwari Devi temple, Mahakali temple, and Vajreshwari temple. Also, a must-visit place is the Bhangeri Durbar it is an architectural marvel in Nagarkot. After completing your trips in Nagarkot you will get back to Kathmandu.

Day 8:   Kathmandu (Departure)
As usual, you will pack your bags to reach your home destinations. Then, the representative of Travelogy India will leave you at the airport. But it’s sure you can enjoy an unforgettable tour in Nepal.
